The following is taught in both forms of instrumental lessons:

 

a.      EASY STEPS TO THE BAND (method book)

Lessons 1-10, which include:

 

15 notes, 8 rhythms, key signs, time signs, repeat signs, ties slurs, articulation, breathing, following visual cues from the conductor.

V.               3 Warm – ups

 

VI.            Preparation for Spring Performance

 

 

 

 

Grade 5

 

I.                   Music Theory –

a.      key signs, time signs, leger lines, grand staff

 

 

II.                Instrumental Lessons

a.      Group lessons ( Ensemble playing)

b.     Mini Lessons  ( Individual lessons)

 

The following is taught in both forms of instrumental lessons:

 

EASY STEPS TO THE BAND ( method book)

  Lessons 10 – 25, which include:

 

10 additional notes, 10 additional rhythms, staccato, legato, unison playing, intonation, dynamics, musical phrasing.

IV.            2 Warm- scales( major scales)

 

V.               Holiday Concert

 

VI.            St. Patricks Day parade
